Poland - The illuminating colours of culture – Part II
The Powershine S RGBW PE light fittings, selected with a blend of medium and wide optics, have been placed on the upper terrace, located directly below the 30 metres high turret, equally shared by the four sides. The Polar Edition of Powershine S RGBW has been specified for this application as it features an integrated de-icing system with electrically heated glass, which assures a comfortable functioning even in the utmost severe cold weather conditions, quite common during harsh Polish Winters. The illumination of the clock turret has instead been tasked to the 12 Danube MK2 RGBW fixtures, equipped with wide optics, perfect to enhance this architectural gem with bright tones. The combination of RGBW LEDs featured by both projectors offers an unprecedented astonishing white light output quality, as well as a wide variety of intermediate colour hues suitable for an even broader range of application purposes.
With its 231 metres, the Palace of Culture and Science, the highest building in Warsaw and Poland, has now established itself as an unparalleled architectural lighting achievement.
Lighting specified (for the latest project completion/finalization):
12x AL2150PE Powershine S RGBW Polar Edition
4x AL2194 Medium optics
8x AL2196 Wide optics
12x AL2456 Danube MK2 RGBW Wide optics
